Let’s celebrate Juneteenth – which was declared a federal holiday last year in recognition of the day in 1865 (after the Emancipation Proclamation) when 250,000 still-enslaved black people were set free in Texas.
Juneteenth has long been celebrated in cities and towns across the nation and now the CCCBA DEI Committee has planned a community celebration on June 17 from 5:00 – 7:30 pm at Pleasant Hill Park. Bring your family to honor and enjoy this important day.
