Lawyers in the Library
Are you representing yourself in court, and do not have a lawyer? Do you need some general legal advice to make sure you put your best foot forward in court?
If you are representing yourself in court, you are referred to as a self-represented/pro per litigant.
The Contra Costa County Law Library and Congress of Neutrals is proud to offer a free program to assist people like you who need general legal guidance and advice from a lawyer. Held at the Contra Costa County Public Law Libraries in Martinez and Richmond.
The lawyers in this program have generously volunteered their time to help you, and you will have the opportunity of meeting with a lawyer for twenty (20) minutes. However, these attorneys should not be considered as personal lawyers. You will be required to sign a waiver before speaking to an attorney that states that no attorney-client relationship is being created with this free service. The lawyers are there to provide general guidance and advice only.
No appointment is necessary. Sign ups are first come, first served basis. See calendar entry for details.
