Food From the Bar
Since 1992, Contra Costa County Bar Association has sponsored an annual competition in the spring to raise food and money for the Food Bank of Contra Costa & Solano.
Law firms, solo practitioners and county legal offices compete to raise the most per capita and every dollar counts.
Since its inception, county attorneys have donated more than $740,000.00 and 52 tons of food, making CCCBA one of the Food Bank’s largest supporters.
Each year the drive is launched by a comedy night fondly referred to as Res Ipsa Jokuitur. Well-known comedians such as Will Durst regularly perform to a sold-out crowd. This event is one of the highlights of the year.
