Summary

Explore ways Parenting Coordinators and Referees can provide timely dispute resolution and help preserve judicial resources to make everyone’s life a little easier. Learn what they can and cannot do and what types of cases are best suited for Parenting Coordinator or Referee involvement.
Ann Marie De Die is a family law attorney and Certified Family Law Specialist with over 35 years of experience in high conflict litigation. She has litigated hundreds of cases in emotionally charged circumstances. Her practice now focuses on Parenting Coordinator work, representing children as Minor's Counsel, and providing family law mediation services.
Daniel Harkins is a family law attorney who retired after 42 years of practice but is still involved in mentoring and counseling Parenting Coordinators and Minor’s Counsel. He served as a Parenting Coordinator for 20 years and as Minor’s Counsel for over 25 years as well as providing mediation services and private judging. Dan is currently traveling as much as possible and still hoping the 49ers win another Super Bowl (or two).
Sophia Engle, Psy.D. is a licensed psychologist and former Child Custody Recommending Counselor for FCS in Contra County Superior Court who has written recommendations with thousands of parenting plans, including numerous “move-away” reports. Currently in private practice, Dr. Engle continues to specialize in custody disputes, primarily in the role of parenting coordinator or recommending CCRC. She also provides therapy services for children and families involved with family court dealing with domestic violence, refuse/resist dynamics, and other conflicts.
