After reviewing our workshops, you may decide that you need a lawyer.

HOW TO ESTABLISH A CONSERVATORSHIP OF THE PERSON (LIMITED AND GENERAL)

This workshop is for self-represented litigants seeking to establish a conservatorship of the person in Contra Costa County.

  • Self-help assistance is available to provide information about the court process and to help fill out the forms necessary to establish a limited or general conservatorship of the person.
  • Held on the first Friday of every other odd month (Jan., Mar., etc.) at the Peter L. Spinetta Family Law Center in Martinez.
  • Set-up on a first-come, first-served basis. You must be present during the first 15 minutes to register.
  • The volunteers cannot represent clients or take responsibility for your case.
  • If legal advice or representation is necessary, contact the Contra Costa County Bar Association Lawyer Referral and Information Service at (925) 825-5700.

    • A joint partnership of the Contra Costa County Superior Court and Contra Costa Senior Legal Services, sponsored in part by a grant from the California State Bar Association Equal Access Fund.


    CONSERVATORSHIP OF THE ESTATE AND CONSERVATORSHIP OF THE PERSON

    A one-day workshop covering Conservatorship of the Estate and Conservatorship of the Person for Conservators who have already established a Conservatorship.

  • Held once a month at the Contra Costa County Public Law Library in Martinez.
  • Must preregister. See the calendar entry for details.

    • Sponsored by The Contra Costa County Public Law Library and The Professional Fiduciary Association of California.
