Employment Section
The Employment Section is comprised of a balance of more than 60 plaintiff’s and defense bar attorneys. The section’s monthly meetings provide a forum for practitioners to gather and discuss current issues affecting labor and employment law and workers’ compensation. The meetings typically feature presentations by judges, arbitrators, representatives of state and federal enforcement agencies, and experienced practitioners. The section also hosts a workshop at the annual MCLE Spectacular and, from time to time, members are called upon to write articles for the Contra Costa Lawyer.
In addition to the high quality, local educational programs, another benefit of membership and participation in the section is gaining access to a solid network of skilled attorneys who are willing to share not only their knowledge and expertise, but also their questions and dilemmas.
Affiliate membership is not allowed, but non-members are welcome to attend the programs.
