LOCAL FREE SENIOR LEGAL SERVICES PROVIDER RECEIVES BOOST FROM CONTRA COSTA LEGAL COMMUNITY
On September 19, 2013, District 2 Supervisor Candace Andersen will join the Contra Costa County Bar Association and its members in support of Contra Costa Senior Legal Services and honoring Contra Costa Superior Court Probate Commissioner Don Green (ret.) for his lifelong championship of senior legal issues.

Elders in Contra Costa County can find free legal help with problems that affect their quality of life through Contra Costa Senior Legal Services (CCSLS). CCSLS has been tirelessly assisting seniors for over 30 years by focusing on core issues such as housing, consumer finance and elder abuse.
In support of CCSLS, the Contra Costa legal community will gather to honor one of its champions, Contra Costa Superior Court Probate Commissioner Don Green (ret.). In addition, the event celebrates the generous contributions of: Archer Norris, Barr & Young, CCCBA's Estate Planning and Probate Section, and Hartog & Baer, as well as those of numerous other attorneys, law firms, and organizations committed to continuing the important work of CCSLS.
What: The Bar Fund Gala in Support of Contra Costa Senior Legal Services

CCSLS is a nonprofit organization that provides free legal services to residents of Contra Costa County who are 60 years of age and over. In continuous operation since 1979, CCSLS has assisted thousands of seniors with legal issues.
The volunteer and staff attorneys at CCSLS not only meet with clients in their Richmond office, but also provide services in coordination with the Contra Costa Superior Court at the Senior Self-Help Clinic and through a monthly Conservatorship Workshop. In addition, CCSLS organizes clinics at senior centers throughout the county, at which seniors are assisted by pro bono attorneys.
The Contra Costa County Bar Association (CCCBA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to offering support in matters of the law, the legal community and the judicial system. Trusted since 1934, the CCCBA serves thousands of legal professionals and members of the community each year.
