2017 CCCBA Cuba Trip
Cuba Cultural & MCLE Trip

If you missed the 2017 Cuba trip, we have good news! The Contra Costa County Bar Association and the Alameda County Bar Association have scheduled another trip for February 2018.

Get a first-hand glimpse at the life, culture, history, art and legal system in Cuba from a variety of local scholars, attorneys and judges. In this private trip you will visit the whimsical home and studio of artist Jose Fuster, attend private musical performances, learn about Cuban history and architecture, the Cuban Court System, and US-Cuba Relations. Throughout the trip, you will enjoy the type of intimate personal exchanges that build lifelong relationships. This private journey (space is limited) includes the following:
  • Thought-provoking lectures by renowned intellectuals, scholars and legal experts. NOTE: Many of our lectures will qualify for MCLE credit
  • Private performances and reception by prominent musicians
  • Exploration of the fascinating neighborhoods of Havana in the company of an architect and historian
  • Choice of a day trip to either the stunning Viñales Valley known for the finest tobacco produced in the world, or Las Terrazas, a pioneering eco-community that is home to 17 bird species, as well as over 1300km of terraces of timber, fruits, ornamentals and vegetables.
  • Your choice of a 5-day trip, February 14-18;  or an 8-day trip February 14-21, 2018

Please Note: The damage from Hurricane Irma was not such that it will impact our trip, and recovery efforts are underway in the areas that were affected. Our upcoming visit to Cuba will be an important way to show support to the Cuban people. Cuba travel remains safe and legal. Read more.
