This program is designed to provide you with practical advice on how to engage in social networking with prospects and clients within the ethical parameters required by the California Rules of Professional Responsibility. The panel will also address the time-management and technological challenges that social media efforts pose.
You will learn:
- How to make sure your blog conforms to appropriate ethical considerations
- How to handle the issue of legal disclaimers for your social networking activities
- What to watch out for in the use of LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter etc.
- Whether the proposed new rules of professional conduct address social networking issues
- What kind of blog or website graphics could violate rules against deceptive or misleading advertising
Stay after for a hands-on demonstration of effective uses of Social Media - what you can do to make LinkedIn, blogging, etc more effective. Bring your laptop or mobile device.
Presenter Randy Wilson Esq., co-founder of DSD Law Site Solutions, has spoken to lawyers in the Alameda, Contra Costa and Stanislaus County Bar Associations on emerging ethical issues surrounding social media in law practices through out California.
Gail Nott is a social media strategist with Nott Ltd Solutions. She consults and manages internet marketing campaigns for local businesses & entrepreneurs in the U.S., Canada & Europe.
Elaine Betts, a contributing author to New York Times best seller Master of Sales and demonstrates how self-management is a key to success. She is an experienced business and management consultant, entrepreneur and the owner of Go Far Consulting.
