about the cccba
employment

The Employment Section is comprised of a balance of more than 60 plaintiff's bar and defense bar attorneys. The section's monthly meetings provide a forum for practitioners to gather and discuss current issues affecting labor law, employment law and workers' compensation..

The monthly meetings typically feature presentations by judges, arbitrators, representatives of state and federal enforcement agencies and experienced practitioners.  Section members also host a workshop at the annual MCLE Spectacular and, from time to time, are called upon to write articles for the Contra Costa Lawyer.

By far, the greatest benefit of  membership and participation in the section is gaining access to a solid network of skilled attorneys who are willing to share not only their knowledge and expertise but also their questions and dilemmas.

Annual Section dues are $25 for attorneys. Affiliate membership is not allowed. But members and non-members are welcome to attend the programs.

If would like to become a member or learn more about the section, please contact the president.
