This is a new form that is to be used in Probate Conservatorship cases. This is a local form - not a judicial council form. It is in pdf format.

The Conservatorship/Guardianship, Probate & Trust Section was established in 1993. Membership is open to practicing attorneys, private professional fiduciaries, accounting practitioners, and law students.  Section members and non-members are invited to attend our programs.

With the expert assistance from The Mechanics Bank, Trust Dept., we have sponsored each year an Estate Planning Symposium - our first in March 1994 was a St. Patrick's Day event.  Most recently, the symposium has been  held at the Dean Lesher Regional Center for the Arts in Walnut Creek.   The event draws counsel, educators and professionals to present topics of current interest to our members.

Board members and section liaisons continue to provide volunteer service:  co-chairs David J. Elefant, Ira L. Hillyer, Barbara L. Lanier and Oliver W. Bray; Maurice Huguet, Court Liaison and Kathleen U. Poling, Liaison to the Probate Court Investigation Office, each devoting time and energy to ensure that our events provide broad coverage for continuing education for our members.

Our section is proud and pleased to have the ability to continue the practice of donating to organizations that serve our community.  In 2004, the section donated $5,000 to the BAR FUND and presented a $5,000 grant to the Contra Costa County Superior Court.  Funds available for these donations re collected from the dues paid by section members.

The section is broadly based among probate, estate planning, conservatorship, guardianship and trust practitioners. We strive to present opportunities for members to obtain MCLE credits at programs that address these areas of practice and, as always, welcome suggestions from our membership.

Annual section fees are $25.00 for attorney and affiliate members. Affiliate membership is only available to trust officers and private professional fiduciaries.
